Karen Gorrin, MA, LMHC
I am a licensed mental health professional with an established private practice focused in health psychotherapy and mind & body medicine in Bellevue, Washington. I became a psychotherapist fifteen years ago following a corporate career in organizational development and training–consulting with technology companies, law firms, and nonprofit organizations.

Karen Gorrin, MA. LMHC
My clients are primarily busy professionals experiencing burn-out, anxiety, depression, sleep problems, chronic pain, or have been diagnosed with a stress-related illness. I work with individuals and organizations to restore vitality and reduce stress.
Clients describe my office as “a refuge” from the stress of daily life, a warm and comfortable place to replenish and to heal; my wellness programs teach professionals to reduce stress and increase resilience.
I believe in the essential role of mental health in primary care: Psychotherapy is fundamental to wellness. After all, 75-90% of all physician office visits are stress-related. This is why I collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare providers to support your greatest wellbeing.
My current areas of inquiry include integrative health, deep ecology, and unraveling the mysterious process of healing. I am interested in the healing practices of indigenous cultures, the physician/patient relationship, and the roles of imagery, story, and nature in healing. Neuroscience, telemedicine, and social media also capture my attention.
If you are interested in a custom corporate wellness program, psychological assessment, or becoming one of my psychotherapy clients, contact me to schedule a complimentary telephone introduction.
“The best and perhaps the only way to change the outer world is to change the inner world. Life is a great big mirror.”
